GDDR6

GDDR6 is the successor of GDDR5 and offers increased per-pin bandwidth of up to 16 Gbits/s and lower operating voltages. The standard was finalized and published by JEDEC in July 20217 and mass production began in 2018. GDDR6 uses Quad Data Rate (with a prefetch of 16n) to the write command clock and Octal Data Rate (with a 32n prefetch) in reference to the command clock.
