DDR2 is the technology following DDR with many advantages over its predecessor.
DDR2 operates at data rates from 400-1066 Mb/s and a clock frequency of 200 to 533 MHz. The lower operational voltage enables a 50% reduction in power and an improved thermal performance and signal integrity over DDR1.
