Memory has never been a stable business. Cycles, consolidation, abrupt discontinuations, and price volatility have shaped this industry for decades. What has changed is the role memory plays today: It moves from a commodity to a strategic enabler of AI, driverless systems, and human-machine interaction.
With this shift, we also need to change how we are thinking about memory: availability, longevity, and reliability have become strategic factors, not just technical parameters.
Since 1991, MEMPHIS Electronic has focused on one thing only: memory. Through DRAM cycles, NAND transitions, managed memory, industrial specialty products, and today’s AI driven demand concentration, our mission has remained the same: to help customers make informed, long term memory decisions in an increasingly volatile market.
Thirty five years later, that focus has never been more relevant. If you need insights into the memory market to understand the market dynamics and make informed decisions, you know you will find it with us! Your next opportunity is our webinar on March 26.
The memory industry is entering a phase that feels less like a familiar cycle and more like a structural reset.
AI driven demand concentration, geopolitical realignment, and capital intensity are reshaping both legacy and advanced memory markets—often simultaneously.
In our upcoming webinar on March 26, MEMPHIS experts will provide:
Whether you are designing, sourcing, or planning long term production, this session is designed to help you separate signal from noise.

How do you thrive in a highly volatile industry with only one focus area? Procurement Pro explored this question in its latest supplier spotlight, taking a closer look at MEMPHIS Electronic.
And we spilled the beans: Our answer is focus. Despite the ups and downs in the market over the past 35 years, we only went deeper into the memory segment and expanded our line with emerging memory and alternative suppliers.

The evolution of embedded and industrial systems continues to push storage performance, endurance, and reliability requirements.
This month, Intelligent Memory has expanded its portfolio with new UFS solutions, addressing applications that require higher throughput, lower latency, and robust long term availability compared to traditional managed flash technologies.
MEMPHIS supports customers in evaluating where UFS makes sense—and where alternatives may still be the better long term choice—based on application profile, lifecycle expectations, and supply chain risk.

We are proud to share that MEMPHIS Electronic was recognized at this year’s Winbond Sales Conference in Europe with an award for exceptional sales growth in 2024/2025, a period that was still a buyer's market.
This recognition reflects not just numbers, but the trust of our customers, the strength of our partnership with Winbond, and the commitment of our teams across regions.
A big thank you to Winbond for the trust and recognition, and to the entire MEMPHIS team which continues to navigate the market with #focus #resilience and #appreciation.
In light of the staggering earnings in memory, several analysts have already moved the trillion-dollar mark significantly forward, from 2030 to 2026. But not all that glitters is gold, as Marco Mezger, President of MEMPHIS Electronic, explained in an article for All-About-Industries.
It’s because the growth is driven by prices and not by an increase in units shipped. What’s more, there’s no relief in sight for NAND and DRAM supply in 2026, as today’s market dynamics resemble a structural reset rather than a classic cycle. For this reason, memory decisions increasingly require both technical and market context.
